Dear Players & Parents

Last Season Vale Rec finished as Channel Islands Champions and Priaulx Champions, winning also the Stranger and FA Cups. This was a huge achievement and there is a real sense of excitement within the Club. We are all looking forward to the season ahead as we set out to defend our titles and we ask you to support the Club in every way you can to make 2024/2025 just as memorable.

Registration Forms can be found below. All players must complete a registration form to be able to play for the club. For Minis, please complete it and bring it with you on September 7, 2024, from 10:00 am when registration for Minis will take place. For Youth and Senior players these can be returned to your Coach or directly to the club via email: valerec@cwgsy.net. Registration needs to be completed before you can play in any league games.

Set out below is some useful information for you to know and links to read.

Creating safe environments in every football setting is a collective responsibility. It’s important that every single person in football – no matter if we are actively involved or on the sidelines – understands that we all have an ongoing role to play. Knowing how to act on any concerns is vital and Play Safe is a keyway to raise awareness so that everyone is vigilant and knows what to do if they become aware of any inappropriate behaviour. Vale Rec is totally supportive and aligned as a community club with the aims of the FA Play Safe Campaign.

Play Safe focuses on the safeguarding role EVERYONE must play – coach, player, parent/carer, spectator, or volunteer – to keep children and young people safe, no matter what the football setting. EVERYONE, EVERYWHERE, EVERYTIME is encouraged to WATCH, LISTEN, TALK and ACT if they have any safeguarding concerns.  Our Welfare Officer will be  Kate Dorey, and she will be supported by Claire, Andy and Sami. We have consciously increased the size of our Welfare Team to provide better visibility and access to make raising any safeguarding concerns easier. Kate or any of the other Welfare Officers can be contacted at any time for any concerns you may have at:  welfare@valerecfc.com. Please do not hesitate to speak with any of the team however small you think your concern may be.

With Play Safe in mind please find attached other information about the club overleaf.
